Google Pixel 4a
Considering the fact that the Pixel 3a was a massive hit, it makes sense that there would be a 4a. But the most surprising thing about it is its expected cutting-edge design.
A consistently slim bezel is expected all around the display along with a punch-hole cutout front-facing lens. A 3.5mm headphone jack and a capacitive, rear-facing Pixel imprint sensor will also be present. The rear camera will be a single-lens unit, but we still expect it to be best in its price range.
iPhone 9
The iPhone 9 or the SE 2 is expected to have a 4.7-inch screen and be powered by the same A13 Bionic chip that powers the iPhone 11. We’re not sure about its launch date, which was delayed due to the pandemic, but there are rumors that it has entered mass production already.
iPhone 12
Four sizes from 5.4-inches to 6.7-inches are expected. Some will also have 5G connectivity and groundbreaking camera technology with world-sensing 3D cameras. OLED displays with 120Hz refresh rates would be welcome along with significant performance boosts. The A14 Bionic chipset is claimed to blow away the Snapdragon 865s performance too.
Samsung Galaxy Note 20
The most notable news about the Note (sorry) is that it may feature really fast storage that even eclipses the S20’s UFS 3.0 flash memory. Samsung is also apparently working on a fine-tuned 120 Hz screen for Note 20. It’s also expected to pick up the S20 Ultra’s 108MP main camera with a periscope lens for 4x optical zoom.
Microsoft Surface Duo
This is probably the most exciting new device. Microsoft has gone in a totally different direction and made a folding phone with two screens that runs on Android. The Surface Duo features a pair of Gorilla Glass-covered 5.6-inch screens joined by a central hinge that allows the screens to rotate 360-degrees.
It’s powered by a Snapdragon 855 processor, which may be outdated by the time it launches. Questions about 5G supports are also unanswered as of this moment. But, Microsoft has plenty of time to update and refine the Surface Duo before it hits the market with the Surface Neo tablet.
